Esophageal Cancer Support Group
Esophageal cancer is malignancy of the esophagus. There are various subtypes. Esophageal tumors usually lead to dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), pain and other symptoms, and is diagnosed with biopsy. Small and localized tumors are treated with surgery, and advanced tumors are treated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy or combinations.
I have been on this group in the grief area when I lost my husband to cancer 7 years ago. A couple months ago I was diagnosed with esophogeal cancer that has spread to my liver and kidney. My oncologist is direct and says I have one to two years. I told her God would heal me. She gave me a blank stare. I have a strong faith and many prayer warriors. I bought a book "Miracle Survivors - beating the odds of incurable cancer". It is amazing. Lots of encouragement. I pray to be a survivor. I welcome your prayers. Linda
My husband died of esophagus cancer 10 years ago. We didn’t give up on life. We focused on living. No one knows what will happen tomorrow so enjoy today.
