Hi All!
I have had a dx of seizure/epilepsy since childhood. I have partial complex seizures - temporal lobe type. I am now 47 yrs old and take 400mg of Trokendi each day - which if you are not familiar with Trokendi, it is an extended release Topamax.

My question for you is has anyone ever experienced the following sensations (Now bear with me, it is difficult for me to describe which is why I have never brought it up to any neuro I have seen before)

I often have the sensation that my hands and my body in general are larger than they actually are - it is almost as they are completely disconnected from my body. There is also a sensation of heaviness.
This ofen will mostly occur when my eyes are closed, like at night but is now starting to occur more during the daytime hours. I am completely mentally intact during these episodes - not compromised in thought, etc... but it is very disturbing to me.
These episodes might occur once every few weeks but are now starting to occur much more frequently. I had several yesterday - and one was completely different in nature - instead of heaviness, it was as if my hands and what I was holding, which was my cell phone were as light as tissue paper and it was nearly impossible to hold.

I often feel as though I am losing my mind. I have done some research and have found something called "Alice in wonderland" syndrome??

Any thoughts would be appreciated - I am thinking with these episodes starting to be more frequent and intense, I need to address this with my neuro.
