I find that people that don't have epilepsy can't really understand fully what you are going through and how your brain just doesn't work properly afterwards. It takes time to recover and each one is completely different.
I have had epilepsy for about 10 years now and they have no idea what kind, because they can't catch them on an tests and they happen in my sleep. I find that some, I have memory problems after (like at work, things I know but forget how to do properly), others I am just tired and sore, some my head feels like its in a bubble the next day.
It is a very hard thing to get the people in your life to understand and be patient with you. Maybe suggest your husband coming on here and reading some things that other people have to say, or when he isn't sure about something that is going on with you, he can ask the people on here. The people on here can be a very big help.
I know it is easier said than done, because stress is one of my triggers also, but take a deep breath, because stress is only going to add to the problem.
I find when I can't do anything but think about it, I like to go on Pinterest and search for things like Epilepsy quotes (ie: "It's ok not to be ok) Here is my board if you want to have a look http://www.pinterest.com/aokbc/epilepsy-awareness/
Hope this helped a bit.
Good luck.
