MRI Scan

So, my doctor is sending me for a scan I think to cancel out the possibility of Epilepsy but I was just wondering on how doctors can tell whether or not from I'm guessing the shading, I'm confused about how they can tell?

hugs, Razor. i am looking forward to hearing the answers to your question. i haven't heard any good answers from my neuro - he may have some though - and maybe he just isn't telling me or something. as far as i know he kept doing eeg s, and nothing showed up.

i thought that unless we are actually experiencing a seizure while they are testing us, they cannot see anything - maybe that is not accurate.

I also look forward to finding out the answer to your question. I am set up to have an MRI 4/20. My first seizure was Friday at work and it was a bad one. Thank God I work in a medical facility.

Hey, as far as I am aware the doctors can tell my grey matter.... mine is due to a cluster of heterrotopic grey matter that didn't separate in my brain.
Ask to see the MRI scan. They should let you. They can use the diagram to show you what's going on.
I see now that was 11 months ago. How did everything go?

The MRI came back normal so I was sent for a EEG and my doctor told me that came back as abnormal so when I had to go for my recent sleep deprived EEG I asked and they said it wasn't an abnormality as such, there's something there but they don't know what so that's why I was sent for the second EEG, so I'm hoping that it will have some answers.
