I would say side effects of med. 'Rare'! Although some of what you are experiencing could be seizure related, I think you need a blood level test done to rule meds out.

Background: I was seizure free on lamictal for 5 years, but still having myoclonic jerks so my neuro added some Clobozam onto the lamictal. Although it stopped the jerks it caused me to have seizures again (despite being told that was impossible). So I stopped the Clobozam and my seizures stopped. But they also increased my Lamictal. That caused the fuzziness, not thinking straight and more myoclonics. So I took the levels halfway back down and now I'm fine.
I guess my advice would be against upsetting the balance too much as it comes with risks. Others who have had great results from doing this would disagree. Try and keep the meds at a level where the side effects are minimal - I know how you feel, for me it was worth taking less.
