a friend had a sleep study EEG done. this involved him sleeping at hte hospital with the electrodes on his head. this detected seizures that he had that were infrequent. not grand mal seizures, just the small unstable brain activity.
he was older at the time though, so i dont know if a one year old would be a viable candidate for that.
