It doesn\'t necessarily mean that there is no seizure activity. Depending on the time of day, if he was awake or asleep, etc. can be factors in noticable seizure activity with an EEG. Some children outgrow seizures as they get older. Others don\'t develop seizures(like myself who had my first known seizure in my late teens)until they are older.

it does not mean that he doesnt have any seizure activity, it just means that none was detected.
a friend had a sleep study EEG done. this involved him sleeping at hte hospital with the electrodes on his head. this detected seizures that he had that were infrequent. not grand mal seizures, just the small unstable brain activity.
he was older at the time though, so i dont know if a one year old would be a viable candidate for that.

We will admit youngsters to the hospital for extended sleep studies if we need to.

note: by sleep EEG i mean that he slept over at the hospital, not just a few hours of sleep deprived EEG sleep.

does this include babies?

My daughter had her first seizure "bad" in march of 2006 ,had an eeg in April 'sleep deprived " results normal,since her famliy d.r. whom said it could be from anything and wouldn't do anything,then she has a "bad" one at school at the end of the day ,then they sent her to to a neurology d.r. who started her on a low dose of topopax 25mg ,due to insurance purposes we could no longer see that dr, and was refered to a dr whom was covered by her insurance,he upped her dose of topomax to 50mg ,and sent her for another eeg,this eeg came back abnormal ,supporting underlying genralized epilespy ,and definite potenially epiptogenic nature,new dr. calls and says he will see us in 5 days and will be changing her meds. I only know the results because I got a copy from her famliy dr,whom has to order labs,x-rays and so forth for the other dr because of insurance reasons ,now I'm just waiting to what her neuro, dr says in 5 days ,sooo to answer your they don't know hes not epileptic until they can prove otherwise.

It is very good and relates well to loss.

This book is amazing, really makes you change the way you think about smoking. I quit 4 weeks ago with the help of this book and lent in to a friend at work last week. He was sceptical and said he didn't really want to quit but he agreed to read it. He came into work today raving about how amazing it was and he too has quit. Allen Carr is an amazing man, god rest his soul.

I was in the second month of my quit when everyone on the board I was using then started talking about it. I checked it out one evening at a Barnes & Noble over a cup of coffee. Oh, my! It described a method very similar to the one I used preparing for my quit.

It works if you work it.
