Unfortunately some DRs don't know about side effects or ignore them. Pharmacies have all the info, though. :( I say it's time to seek another neuro. And, yes, insist on another 'trial & error' AED (anti-epilepsy drug)

Stay on the 500 until you discuss this w/ another DR. Do not quit taking your med w/out DR supervision!
