Epilepsy (often referred to as a seizure disorder) is a chronic neurological condition characterized by recurrent unprovoked seizures. Have you time to talk w/ your DR about this? He mite be able to subscribe a 'relaxer' for the ride. Or you can ask about & practice a few breathing exercises that will help. Wear your medic alert bracelet & be sure to inform an attendant of your situation. It's good that your BF will be w/ you. He can handle 'seizure 1st aid' if needed. :) But, he may need assistance, so don't be too stubborn about telling an attendant. :)
I have flown B4 w/ no problems. I hope you have a safe & enjoyable flight. Just keep telling yourself "I CAN DO IT!" :) YOU CAN DO IT! :)

If all else fails, Benadryl will knock me out so we're going to bring some :)
I think I'll be ok and I have been thinking about how I can just do what I usually do to calm myself.
I'm going to tell the flight attendants so that no one gets freaked out or anything if I should seize. My boyfriend keeps assuring me I'll be alright too so that is helpful.
Thank you for your reply!
Before taking benadryl, talk with your doctor and/or pharmacist about it. It took me a few years to figure it out, but any type of cold or allergy medications do knock me out but also throw me into seizures. I finally asked my pharmacist and he looked at the meds I was taking and said that could be what was causing them at that time. I usually have 1-2 seizures once or twice a month, but when I was taking the benadryl, I was having 5-8.
Unfortunately, I caught a bit of a cold :(
But I'm in Florida safe and sound....
it was very disheartening how no one would help my boyfriend and I through the airports. We were very shocked about that considering I had my wheelchair and everything.
But we somehow managed and made it safely.
:)
ENJOY Florida. :) HUGS!
