Allergies Support Group
When the immune system responds to a foreign substance in an abnormal way, it is classified as an allergy. When the body first contacts the substance, it will not cause any reactions, but the immune system will start to produce antibodies to it and subsequent contact will trigger more dramatic responses. Depending on the allergy, the response could be mild or very severe...
A few years ago went to have acupuncture for migraine. The doctor had only recently come over from China. (she was great - such a different approach). After asking questions and checking my tongue - always do this in chinese medicine- she massaged around my sinuses. Like you, my nose wasn't blocked but after the massage and acupuncture there was much less pressure in my face.
I still get blocked sinuses - ususally in nose as well though-and find that massaging helps enormously. Am just recovering from a virus and, as usual have the associated sinus problems. My ears fell full right now and think this is to do with the sinus problem.
Don't give up with your doctor, it's always best to keep going back with any problem so that anything else can be ruled out.
I've also noticed sometimes when I get itchy ear through allergies my ears feel 'full'. It can last for a few days. Never looked further into thayt one. May do now.
Hope this is some help to you and you can solve the problem before too long. Take care.
