When the immune system responds to a foreign substance in an abnormal way, it is classified as an allergy. When the body first contacts the substance, it will not cause any reactions, but the immune system will start to produce antibodies to it and subsequent contact will trigger more dramatic responses. Depending on the allergy, the response could be mild or very severe...
When you have had this problem before-what did the dr say it was? What did the dr do about it?
How long do your symptoms normally last? Colds last longer usually-is why I'm thinking more towards your allergies...how about a nice cheap clothespin? That is what my father always threatened me with
Neither allergies, or colds (or flu for that matter) are helped by antibiotics, and overuse of antibiotics causes other issues. Some sinus infections are helped by antibiotics, but it depends on the type of sinus infection. (They can be bacterial, but they can also be fungal, and if they are fungal, then you need a specifically antifungal med.)
There are some prescription allergy nasal sprays that might help. Also, vitamin c and d, olive leaf extract, colloidal silver, curcurmin, and quercitin (sp?) are some natural things that can help a lot with allergies and sinus infections.
Also is there any possibility you may have GERD or acid reflux? That can also cause sort throats as well.
When I was little I was sick so often I feared my mother was going to put me in one of those giant bubbles like in the movie "the boy in the plastic bubble" well I was kept indoors all the time,,,
annette,
I'm sorry you were sick so often as a child! I had many ear infections into my teens. As an adult I used to get bronchitis every year and sinus infections.
don't suppose a vacuum would help=suck all that yuck out-not sanity and not safe I know :(
