My question is i have severe cat and dust allergies and because of the cat allergies i have to stay away from family all the time is there a shot i can take that will allow me to be around the cat and family cause my mom wont get rid of the cat

Yes, there is immunotherapy for cat dander. I'd encourage you to speak with your allergist. Do allergy medications help you at all?

Elively, how long have you been on the immunotherapy? Is it helping you yet? If you don't mind my asking, are you allergic to dogs too, or only to cats? I am allergic to both and am on immunotherapy now for cat dander, but I am beginning to think that it targets only the Fel D1 hormone, and not the other cat hormones that can cause problems in people with multiple pet allergies.
