I am so sorry you feel like Lupron is your only option. My doctor tried to make me do Lupron and I said no. There are other options but I guess it really depends on your stage and severity of disease....

My doctor allowed me to do continuous birth control instead and he said since I don't have chocolate cysts/endometriomas, the Lupron is not completely necessary in my case.

I am 25 years old and I can completely understand how this disease can ruin your financially...I am not looking forward to the "final bills" for my surgery...and I also have the student loans for graduate school...but it's our health and without it, we are nothing. So don't feel bad for spending this money on your well-being because you need it!

see if they cant put u on depakote it is another endo medicine, i tried lupron and it didnt work i had 3 surgeries and thought i was pain free but a month ago it came back and now they are sending me to a specialist for the 2nd time

She thinks the lupron would be my best option I guess... I tried continuous birth control before and it made things worse. I've been fighting the options for almost a year and I just don't have the energy to fight anymore. I'm at my wits end and need to do something. She said with my case and how little she found my best bet is to try to kill the rest of what she couldn't get and what may have grown back sense my surgery with the lupron and have me on the continuous regimine until I and ready to have kids. It's just a pain to think about all the bills I have stacked up and I'm so young I just started my adulthood and I'm already in uncontrollable amounts of debt. I fear that I am going to have to work at least 2 jobs for my whole life and I won't physically be able to from the endo and the severe depression I'm finding myself to be in lately. I keep gaining weight like crazy. And no one has an explanation for me or help to lose it they just want to jack me up on more meds that will cause further weight gain. I'm just hoping that something will start to look up.

I am 16 and I am in my 4th month of lupron. I was in constant pain before I went on the shot. I couldn't make it thru the day or stand up straight. I had surgery in November 2011 and within 3months it came back and was worse. I had no other choice. The week the lupron kicked in was hell! After getting off all the pain meds and wacky side effects I didn't know what to do with myself. But after that I have been symptom free&i have my life back! I did have some annoying side effects that they just gave me more meds for but those had side effects..it was never ending. I would say to go with the lupron and the addback therapy. Try accupuncture too! It's given me so much relief with the side effects! The bills are tough I know. I feel bad about my parents having to pay now and I worry about how I'll pay for everything in the future. Goood luck to you! Hang in there and stay positive!

being on lupron was the best 5 months I've had in the last 20 years! (the first month of it is not nice as it makes pain worse at first).

@Ronniliz, sorry you are in so much pain and I wish you luck with Lupron. I know exactly how it feels to be at your wits end from the pain. I know you don't have insurance but all hospitals have financial assistance programs. Since you have no insurance they can put you on a sliding scale so your bills will be cheaper. Contact the hospital's billing office and ask for a financial assistance application. My daughter and i have medical issues so I did this at our two hospitals and it covers all out of pocket expenses after my insurance pays their part. At one hosp the financial assistance is 100% and at the other it is 75% and i'm on a payment plan for the other 25%. Good luck
