Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Have had lots of pain from both Endo related issues and my neck alignment issues. Migraines = no internet time for me.
Oh, I understand feeling busy, overwhelmed and in pain. I do to, BIG TIME. I understand the need to separate and distance yourself from talk of endometriosis. However, I think we think more about ourselves and our feelings than we do those in need.
I'm just saying that this forum has helped us. Let's pay it forward=)
Hope everyone has a fun weekend with pain levels low=)

I had to take care of me for a while. Pain does cause depression and, in that case, I and many others here strongly advise people to stay away and focus on other things than Endo. I spent a lot of time at the dog park. It made my dog happy to run and play, I was out in nature, and I was with people. Even if I was just sitting on a bench listening to their conversations, it really helped to get out and be away from "endo" for a while. Keeps one from sinking lower in depression and thinking bad thoughts. I know what it's like to be suicidal and make every effort not to sink to that low level ever again. We've lost so many Endo sisters to suicide! :(
Also, I've had family members going through rough health issues of their own (including cancer!). They came first this month.
I understand relatives who are either sick or dying, too.
I've spent most of the summer in self-isolation with shingles in my eye/face, fearing blindness...being told by my doctor that if I don't reduce my stress levels, it will slam the lid on my COFFIN. As for the pain and sadness of endo...I wish that I could just not think of this wretched disease too, but it is my constant companion.
My post was not meant to be inflammatory. My intention was to get conversations started AGAIN with people talking and sharing. It doesn't have to be all bad...We can share a laugh or two as well. You need only to look at my avatar to know that humor is a saving grace for me.
I do hope you have a good weekend where the laughter exceeds the tears. That's really what most of us need.
HUGS of Support to you and your family=)

But I've been thinking about all of you and hoping everyone is well and will be posting more as time goes on. Sending everyone healing light! Hugs!
Once I can "cope" somewhat, then I make sure my fellow friends are ok....I know how selfish that sounds, and it is, I know that. But the best advice I give anyone struggling is be selfish and think of yourself 110% FIRST... then when you have more spoons spare, then offer a helping hand.
I recently on facebook left all groups associated with this disease except one and even then I'm not as active. Because I felt like I was drowning, I was no good to anyone and I knew I couldn't offer anything productive up.
I know you're intention was not to be inflammatory, and all good intentions :)
Hopefully people start trailing back in feeling somewhat okay after their short (or long) hiatus, be it for support or to offer support.
Hope you've had an Okay weekend ladies (or dare I say...even perhaps a great one!?)
I am getting ready for my 2nd lap on the 15th, and like taters said, just trying to take care of me. I sure hope that people would be comfortable reaching out to me for support, but it wont do them any good if I havent taken any time for me.
hope everyone is doing well!
