Ok I have tried a lot of birth controls I was on the depo for a few months stopped my periods still spotted but caused a lot of emotional problems I'm now on Necon 1/35 I don't think it is working I go to a specialist on the 19fh but I was wondering if there is something that has worked for any of you? I'm in so much pain with endo that I'm in bed 5 out of 7 days a week and I cry all the time please any advice would help

I had the SAME problems. This probably isn't what you want to hear but I didn't get any pain relief until I started Lupron. Lupron can cause so many other side effects and for some women it doesn't even work. I had a rough first month with lupron before things started getting better. But it has provided better pain relief than any of the many birth controls that I tried

I was going to start it until I learned the side effects can last up to 7 years after taking it what was some of the problems you had when you first started taking iT?

I am on Aygestin, L-o Estrin, and just had the Mirena put in 2 weeks ago. I am THRILLED to report that today is day number four of '3 out of 10' pain when I had '9 out of 10' pain every day of my life for the past 3 years. For me, this combinations has been my miracle.
Good luck to you, and don't hesitate to vent to me or talk, I understand completely what it means to have terrible pain every day of your life.

Lybrel has been a lifesaver. I rarely have any spotting each year and it's a bare trace once in one day. The true relief is no ovulation pain and preventing internal bleeding that occurs with periods. Must remember to keep intake of soy very low or the med doesn't work.

I had monthly spotting on Lupron. The spotting was like mini periods showing up like clockwork every month. Think long and hard before taking this prostate cancer drug. :)

Hi Shalron,
so glad to hear your pain is reduced. I'm really interested in the fact that you take lo-estrin and aygestin. For several months, that was the only thing that worked to help reduce my daughter's pain as well. Now, she is doing well on Junel 1/20 (no pain). I'm just curious, was the combination of Lo-estrin and Aygestin your idea, or your doctor's idea?

I take Tri-Sprintec. It's the generic version of Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. Tri-Sprintec is about 28 dollars for 3 months, whereas Ortho is 275 for 3 months.
It has made my periods shorter, but hasn't done a lot for the pain. I don't have a lot of options due to having Epilepsy. So, this is the best option for me.

I've heard that Seasonique taken continuously is one of the better options for us, and I know a few women who've had success with it. I know others who were just treating heavy bleeding that liked the Lybrel and Mirena. The only thing that has worked for me is Lupron. I had some pretty intense hot flashes and insomnia for about 2-3 weeks in the second month, but fortunately it was short-lived. Hope you find something that works for you soon.
