hope everyone is doing ok. so this is probably very TMI but im not sure if i need to be concerned or not.
So i had my 2nd lap in September and have been on continuous birth control since July and my obgyn wants to keep it that way so i dont have a period. i had some very light spotting in november but that was the last i ever dealt with that. when i went to the bathroom this morning i noticed what looked like a blood clot and had some blood on the toilet paper while i cleaned up. not even sure it was a clot or not, but it was bright red and maybe about the size of a dime. should i be concerned/call the doctor at all or does it seem like it could be normal?

I think it's always best to talk to the doctor. I'm too on birth control pill and won't stop bleeding and have lot's and lot's of clots! Like, everyday! My doc says it's not normal though, I shouldn't be bleeding at all, so we're trying different pills and if I won't stop bleeding in the next couple of months he wants to do a curettage, which i'm not happy about.
I'm 48 now, but had clots for years. What I describe as clots were stringy, fiber like blood in little "clots" that would come out with my period. I've heard others with endo tell me that was the body's way of clearing of the endo, I dunno. The longer I had endo untreated, the darker the blood clots and more intermittent they became. I went 18 years without a lap and without insurance for 8, now I need a hysterectomy :( I don't mind though because I'm pre-menopausal and am developing cysts and am ready for my period to stop once and for all.
Personally, I might worry more about dark red clots, but either way, you should get some definitive guidance.
