Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Do NOT do lupron. That shit is the devil. Lupron devil. I had two injections and it did nothing for me but give me menopause at 20yearsoldd. Sleeping naked with a fan on in cold november sucks! But i rwally dont recommend it.
Idk what to say about rhe medicine. No medicine has ever worked for me. (Excluding narcotics of course) you know your body best not them. Good luck :)
When I took continuous bcp I bled every day. It really wore me down after awhile and I was sick and tired of wearing pads every day. Aygestin didn't work for me either. I tried an aromatease inhibitor (AI) but that also made me worse and I learned what "iatrogenic" means. I do not recommend aromatease inhibitors! I went from having pain just on my period to having pain every freaking day. And then my doctor prescribed me daily pain meds to counteract the side effects of the aromatease inhibitor. That's when I went - "What the heck am I doing?" How is taking pain meds every single day with the AI better than just taking pain meds for a few days? I chucked out the AI after that and decided not to do anymore hormone therapy.
I've heard from some people that they love their bcp and it worked great for them. Makes me so jealous! lol BCP did zip for me.
Good luck to you! And I hope you and your doctor figure out some kind of plan for your pain.
So i decided to do something further about it. Seeing that cysts are also an estrogen issue, i went to an herbalist. i got on a buttload of herbs, 2 for hormone issues and it's only been a month but i see a difference in how i feel... like my hormones are feeling more balanced. Too early to know for sure how much it's really helping but i'm optimistic! It's not for everyone but i'm feeling good with how i feel already. Time will tell.
