Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Ok, after a week of deciding: work first, or tube out first, I decided work first.
How is your sense of humor doing? What have you done to lighten the mood for your treatments? Do tell!!!
Surgery date: first week in October. Now for the fun part: waiting and working myself up. Yup, this will be the 3rd surgery this year. 2nd lap in 6 months...but it has to be done.
So I'm inviting some of my more well humored friends over for a pre-surgery party. I'm going to have it be the "No More Birth Control!!" party. True, those of us with endo know I'll be on BC for the rest of our lives...
but what they don't know can't hurt them. After I have my 2nd tube out, I won't HAVE to take BC and not get pregnant (heee heee).

other than I know it will be high tea with booze, lots of booze. I've been instructed to have a designated driver.

On Monday I saw my shrink and he brought me back to reality and kept asking me about my fears and emotions related to the surgery. Sigh...so I guess it seems like fun and games, but it is a pretty scary step - correction - VERY scary step.
For sure you need to get a pinata shaped like a reproductive system, fill it with candy, candy is always good in a pinata...and beat the hell out of it!
Good for you girl, humor I believe is the best medicine! Those of us who have been cursed or blessed (doubt that blessed part and hate when people say it) with this disease. Life is good and can only get better! :)
