Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Also, in case anyone is curious, I wrote this because I am moody. plus, i saw a handful of offended board members, myself included. This still is a safe and supportive board even with our push-backs. Right? Everyone is really just trying to get support and help each other out...right? Hope my post came across correctly. I wasn't singling anyone out, definitely not. my question is asking for us to pause and agree: I am moody, and proud. I mean we'll, and want to (and do!) support others.
If we stay focused on this, I think we become the most supportive place on the planet.
I think one of the perks of this being an online support group is that to some extent you can "pick and choose" what you participate in. If you know a post is going a direction you don't appreciate or that will stress you out, skip it! We all have different histories, coping strategies, personalities and what works for one may well offend another. I prefer to skip those I know will upset me, allowing that person to get the support that helps them from others...this way I don't associate that person with my bad experience and perhaps can help them with other issues down the road. I know it doesn't work for everyone, but it has helped me out to do this.
I think we(or is it all women?) sometimes forget that about ourselves. We've all been there, we've all had our moments, especially if you have a chronic pain condition like endo.
I think we should embrace our moodiness and acknowledge that we are not bitches, just typical women, suffering from endo.
Glad this post made you smile. Welcome to the board.
