Kind of angry. To sum up I started working in this retirement/assisted living home as a dining assistant. I took my moms place so she could move up to where she wanted to go. (Long story) anyway I worked with our boss tonight to serve dinner and he's worked with my mom for over 5 years. I'm not sure how I feel about this situation and I get it I'm in a small town where everyone knows everyone and everyone is up your butt in your biz etc. But I kinda feel like he stepped over the line and I know that this is a very personal issue/topic for most of us.

I think he was just having a get to know you session and all night he was just asking random questions during down time, like what kind of music do you like? what do you watch on tv etc. Stupid stuff like that, then towards the end of the night he asks So why don't you have kids? When are you going to have kids? You know your mom is always telling me that she's really upset with you and your brother because you haven't given her any grandkids yet. She says that she really wants them. Don't you feel bad that you haven't had kids yet? (WTH?!)

I was trying to be polite and giving him the cold shoulder with real short straight to the point answers like don't want kids, don't care etc. Not rude to him by any means but he didn't get a clue and just kept hounding me and following me around the kitchen and I was getting really annoyed that he wouldn't leave it alone.

For starters I have medical issues (breast cancer, Endo, and ovarian cysts are part of the culprit) which prevent me from having biological children, so I highly doubt my mom would run around and tell you everyday how disappointed she is in me for not having kids. Its also none of your business why I don't have kids, want them etc. I don't know you. I don't even think its a work appropriate discussion. I'm partly offended because i'm a private person and it annoys me when people get all up in my business and then just the fact that he would't leave me alone about it. ITS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS AND YOU DON'T KNOW MY STORY.

If he starts in on me again about it do you think I should say something to him or someone else? It just makes me mad that he said those jeering things. I didn't ask for my medical problems, etc and in my eyes you need to do whats best for your child even before their born and i know for me its not worth putting an unborn baby in a high risk pregnancy. As you know adoption is also a hit or miss and due to my own personal/spiritual beliefs I don't believe in artificial insemination or anything like that, I'm just angry that its none of his business! I shouldn't have to explain any of this to him at all, its not effecting my job in anyway shape or form so why do you care? I'm fine with the fact and happy with my life without children at this point so mind your dang business Ugh...
