Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I wish you luck with the new doc. It's always difficult and a little scary not knowing what you are walking into. I have found it helpful to go in very prepared. I'd bring any medical records you can or have a surgical report forwarded to them if possible. I also bring a pain map and have a detailed medical history written out with symptoms and treatments. I make a list of any possible treatments I want to discuss with them and any questions and concerns I have. I don't often have to use all of this, but it is very handy to refer to. I found when I didn't have all of this showing my very long history of problems, they thought I was just talking about some cramps. Anyway, hope you have a great appointment, and get some relief quick. Good luck!
