Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I feel really fortunate that I haven't been on here in quite a while, but something really odd happened today and I need to discuss it with the only people who will understand!
As mentioned above, I have been doing well in recent months, as far as my endo goes. For the most part, I have been able to get through like 3 packs of birth control before my period comes bursting through, and that's a huge step for me! BUT today I was woken up by SEVERE pain. When I say severe pain I mean 11 on the 1-10 pain scale. Pain that I have only experienced a couple times in my life (which were often the first day of my periods within the months leading up to my laparoscopy). Chronic moderate pain is nothing out of the ordinary for me, but this was really beyond my comprehension and I have NO idea what is was from, which really scared me. So anyway, I was awoken by this absolutely unbearable pain this morning. I immediately got out of my bed and shakily took an 800 ibuprofen and drank some water. I decided to go to the bathroom because I was sure that I had to be bleeding because I have only experienced this pain from periods before and I am a few packs into my birth control. No blood. I tried to go to the bathroom to see if it would help. It didn't. I was in out of control cold sweats and shaking like crazy and I started to black out. I passed out on my bathroom floor and woke up a guess a few minutes later. When I realized that the pain was escalating I suddenly felt like I wanted to vomit it hurt so bad. So I tried. All I could do was gag a lot and spit, but nothing coming up. I laid back down again because I was so shaky and I was seeing black spots again. Then, I tried to get back to my bed, at this point totally in tears and panicked. I got my heating pad on and tried to sleep. Eventually I did (THANK GOD). I was in my bed til about 2 pm until I felt like I could hold my body up. I've been hurting (not nearly as bad, thankfully) all day since and I have been feeling pretty crappy.
WHAT IS THIS?! I haven't had this in like three years! And I have never had this pain without bleeding! I don't know what to do. I am away at school and my doctor recently left the practice I had been going to so I don't even know the doctor they transferred me to... I don't even know if this is endo related or not... It feels like that same pain but again, no bleeding. So confused and worried and not feeling well :(
I guess I just needed to vent. If you have any advice I would love you for that. End rant.

Could it be appendicitis?
UGH I don't know! So frustrating...
Take care and get to the ER if this escalates=)
Pain means something is wrong. Keep this logged and if it occurs again or another strange symptom pops up, go see a doctor and show them or read them your record. Can you pinpoint where the pain is or does it radiate over too large an area? I can now tell the difference between my Endo pain and my IBS pain. But it took years of on-the-floor screaming to get to this point. :\
