What does it mean when the pain is physiological? I got my records today from the hospital from when i was there a week with PID. and it said that a couple of days before i got out. if i was loony then why did they keep giving me demerol? I am so confused right now. they kept me and im looking at this and my temp stayed down pretty much 3 days after i got there. it was just the pain. it says i had free fluid in my pelvic and abdominal region but unknown cause and no abcess that they could see. I have also seen this on my recent ultrasounds but what does it mean?? oh this is frustrating.

physiological just means that it is has to do with your body. It sounds like a really dumb thing for a doctor to say, but it means your pain is real, they just don't know what caused it.
Did you go to the ER or were you admitted by a doctor?
And don't ever be embarassed to ask anything in here, everybody understands what you are going through.

Once when I went to emerg for my pain, all they did was hook my up to an iv and pumped me with meds, gave me a prescription for pain and gave me a paper on "Undiagnosed Abdominal Pain" or "unknown abdominal pain", so, I know what you are going through...I just had surgery for endometriosis but my pain is still here in my abdomen...I am most likely going to a pain clinic because of the unknown abdominal pain and to treat my pain...take care

Yeah, physiological means 'in your body' and psychological means 'in your head'.
Doctors are morons at treating endo. Is there some reason no one knows what it is or what to do with it? It's not like it's 1801 - I mean, it would take 1 hour to train all doctors on endo before they start.
I hate doctors and I hate the things they write on all of our notes because they are too stupid to solve a problem.

If you had free fluid it may suggest infection. Did they give you any anti-biotics? It is annoying when they don't say things in normal words let alone explain what it means. Ask your doctor if you need more info - that's what their there for. Never be embarrassed to ask. Better ask and know then upset yourself wondering.
