Hi all, just a quick update,
I'm very sore so can't stay on here long.

I had surgery yesterday. 2.5 hours to remove it all, my entire left side was stuck together, my LH ovary etc, the back of my uterus was stuck also. My vagina, rectum and uethera were all involved including many tendons and nerves =( and also my RH side was involved. He said it was a complete mess. Along with findings of Adenmyosis. He feels that for now my fertility is ok...however we arn't going to be trying for kids for awhile so fingers crossed it stays that way.

I had some issues with hydrating after having my cathetor taken out but this soon resolved.

I am very very swollen and sore, this surgery is deffinately the worst pain wise and recovery wise.

Wow it is crazy how much this disease can take over. I'm so sorry. I hope that your recovery gets easier. And I hope you are able to heal well.
If you don't mind me asking, what number surgery is this for you?

Praying for a speedy recovery and that this surgery was very successful and gives you get much needed pain relief. Sorry to hear so much was involved, did your surgeon use any special film or antiscar tissue/adhesions stuff to hopefully prevent things from getting so stuck together?

Thanks ladies! I think for the most part the gas is gone (although I think I spoke too soon!).. had a bad night last night =( kept crying due to pain + gas.

Gina it's #4. But don't be dismayed, I've since learnt the last 3 previous surgeries weren't done properly. Even though one of the men who did two of them claimed to be a "specalist".

Lela - I don't think he did no. Or alteast he did not mention it and i think if he did he would have, he was a very thorough doctor, seeing me before surgery, after surgery and calling me the following morning!

I'm upset about the adenmyosis...I'm glad no more cysts had formed. But I am glad for now my fertility is ok. I hope when we choose to have kids it's the same. But I have been told my adenmyosis may prevent that, from the endo side of things for now, things look alright :) Lets hope it stays that way! :)

I'm a little on edge, I don't think I'll believe it untill I'm healed and am free from my "endo pain".
But now I know I have adenmyosis, I might never have that "freedom" which I so desire. But one step at a time!

I am also being told I need to be tested to see if I share my mothers blood disorder as when I have surgery they need to know.

TATE, I have been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and I am glad the surgery is over and now, you can rest, relax and try your best not to worry about anything but healing. Sounds like you had a very thorough Dr and I am happy to hear that. Be kind to yourself now, and as for your fertility, don't worry about that now. You definitely have a much better chance of conceiving now, than ever and since your not going to do that right now, just keep picturing total health and a painfree life. Ahhhh..doesn't that even sound good just reading? :-) You did great, so now it's time to be pampered and soft with yourself. Keep us posted.
