Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I understand the menopause stuff, Lupron is what I used to go into psuedo menopause and it was awful! No joke, breaking my pencil in class led to me sobbing. I look back now and laugh but I still suffer the hot flashes and night sweats, luckily the mood swings have stopped! Ive been off the shot 6 months and im still affected by it.
Hope you get some relief soon!! :-)
I've heard St.John's wort is a herbal antidepressant. I don't know how effective it is or if it interacts/interferes with any of the medication that you're on, but you can always bring it up to your doctor.
Sadly, being in a state of menopause (with hormone therapy) causes natural imbalances in hormones.. and the amount of time it takes to level them out, all depends on the person.
My naturopathic doctor gave me a bunch of different unda drops.. they seemed to help for a while but at $15/bottle/month (an being on 6 types).. It was getting to te point where I couldn't afford it.
Also, while your doctor may not be an endo specialist, she seems to be quite compassionate. Try and make decisions regarding your endo through her... and maybe ask her if she knows of any good specialists. The good doctors tend to know which ones are better.
Good luck and feel better.. and remember, sometimes everyone needs a good cry. It's just another way of detoxifying your body =)
