I usually have days/weeks when I am feeling great, and then days/weeks when I am super-nauseous and have achey pelvic pain and some sharp pains. There doesn't usually seem to be a pattern...like it doesn't really correlate with my period, except for the fact that I have bad cramping during my period.

Lately, I've been having a lot of cramping outside of my period. I know this is endo and this was a big problem for me before surgery.

I guess my question is...does your endo continuously progress and get worse and worse and worse until you do something more drastic (surgery/lupron)? Or do you just continue to have good times/bad times?

I know it is different for everyone, but I'm just curious what your pattern has been. I've only had one lap.

I recently posted a Q like this. I've only had one lap too so I was curious about this, and a dr told me it's possible for endo to stay dormant. The answers I got were different. There was one woman who had 2 laps and her endo progressed from lap 1 to lap 2 in less than a year, but her pain did not increase much. U can look it up, it just posted a couple days ago.

As for me, I have days that are much more painful than others, some days I can go with no meds and just have an achy feeling but nothing too bad, other days I try to push thru the pain until I can't stand myself before I take something because the pain increases throughout the day, then I have the days where I'm in horrible pain before I roll out of bed and limp to my meds.

I too will have days, sometimes even a week or more where I feel like my old self. However, when I do, I am usually bracing myself because I know what's coming. When it hits, I am down and out in the worst way.
I have only had one lap, but for me personally I feel like it's just getting worse and worse. I feel like a shell of who I used to be. I don't have insurance so I try to do what I can, pray for a good day, and work to get through school so I can get a good job and god-willing, insurance.

My pain prior to diagnosis (just diagnosed last fall) got worse and worse as I got older. So I would say mine builds. I've only had two laps and the first barely counts because he did not remove much endo at all. I just had the second in mid-February and already see improvements but am still suffering the post-op cycle pains and have not been cleared for certain activities to know just how much it did or did not improve.

My pain did follow my cycle pretty well to begin with though with most of my pain being during ovulation or just before & during my cycle. An occasional random bad day here and there, but mostly following my usual pattern, with the side/ovary pain being more constant. With this surgery as soon as I woke up my side pain was gone, so I knew it had some effect unlike with the first one.
