Post Surgery Update.

Alright ladies, I had my lap on Wednesday the 21st. Recovery is going pretty well. Still sore around the incisions, but the gas pain is gone now. Looks like the incisions are healing well, just itchy (they used surgical glue to close me up.) Well... they did not find any endo, they did find out what was wrong tho. I have about 9 very large vericose veins in/on my uterus. Idk what treatment I will be doing now, if anyone else has this please let me know what you have done. Thank you all for all the support through this :)

I'm happy to hear that you don't have endo!! I have no experience with varicose veins in the uterus, but I did some quick research and it looks like a procedure called embolization is the best course of treatment. They basically insert a catheter into the femoral vein (in the groin) and feed it up to the affected veins in/on your uterus. They put little stents in and it relieves the pressure and, thereby, the pain. It's minimally invasive and is an outpatient procedure. Otherwise the recommended treatment is just pain relief and that just treats the symptoms and not the cause.

Anyway, I'm glad your recovery is going well and that you finally have some answers! After my second lap they closed my incisions with glue as well...you do actually have stitches deeper in your skin; it's just the top layer that's closed with glue. They healed very nicely, and I think they actually healed more quickly than my first ones which were closed with steri strips.
