Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

I just have a quick question, since it is a sunday my gyno is closed. I had my lap on Wednesday, is it normal to feel nauseas off and on, get dizzy, feel worn out easily and to have hot flashes? It was a laser lap for possible endo. All that was said after was a cyst was removed from one of my ovaries and some scar tissue was also removed. My doctor didn't really specify when I could go back to work but I was wondering if monday would be too soon. It is a waitressing type of job. If you can let me know what you think I would appreciate it greatly.

I also forgot to say that I'm only on nuvaring and the only other meds are percocet and motrin for pain. And I haven't taken either of those since Friday.

I'd go to the ER and have it checked out, if you haven't taken any pain meds you shouldn't still be feeling anything from the anesthesia, I wouldn't mess around with it. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

I certainly would say it's very normal at this point to be fatigued...I was for weeks...especially when I went back to work. I would at least call the patient advisory nurse ( your hospital should have one)...she could tell you whether you need to go to the er or could wait to ser gyn.

I called my gyn Monday morning, he prescribed something for the nausea. ( a miracle fix if you ask me) I took it and I felt better in minutes. But of course, after one thing gets fixed I get worried about another... my doctor told me not to lift anything over 15 lbs. But on Sunday I was walking around outside at my father-in-laws house with my son when he wandered into the neighbors yard. Of course my husband and f.I.l. were a good 30ft away when the neighbors dogs came running and barking at my son. They're slightly aggressive and so I instinctively picked up my 34lb 2 1/2 yr old. But I didn't feel any pain afterward so im thinking I'll be fine ... I hope.

I had surgery this past thursday, and my dr told me I could probably return to work today (monday) with no problems...which is kind of a joke to me right now. I am in 6-8/10 pain and am running a fever. I'm currently waiting for either my doctor or his nurse to call me back and let me know if what I'm experiencing is normal or if I need to come in.
