definalty get her checked out asap!! hope she gets/feels better and doesnt have endo.

My mom and my sister both have painful cramping before and during their periods, but neither have ever been diagnosed with endo or anything. Not saying they dont have it, because they could, but all they have is the cramping and then they are fine. It could be the same thing with your daughter. Maybe try putting her on birthcontrol (if she isn't already) and see if that helps. I really hope everything works out, and that its nothing more than cramps. Good luck, and try not to worry. If it is endo, at least she has a mother like you that will be able to help her and understand what she is going through.

This is a fear I have for my new niece. I pray she doesnt get it, seeing that my aunt has it. I will be keeping your daughter in my prayers. :)

Thanks ALOT ladies. I'm gonna try not to worry since this is the first time this has happened. She didn't ask for any pain meds today and her cycle is here so hopefully it is getting better. She said the 800mg only helped alil bit but i don't want to give her anything stronger unless she is doubled over in pain which she wasn't. It hasn't stopped her from doing anything just enough to bother her.
I will keep you all posted if this happens again next month.

@ Dana Thanks for the encouragement. I will let her know what you said. She has been on birth control for years to regulate her period because that first yr after they started they were irregular and I needed them to come every 28 days.

@ Sabby. If she cramps again next month I will get her examed. Her annual appt to get her bd pills refilled is in April and that will be her first pap smear experience so I'm hoping I can wait till then since that will be rough and i dont want her to be worried about anything if that makes sense. In Illinois girls over 12 have the right to handle all this alone so im gonna tell her to make sure she tells them i have endo so they have to make sure they check EVERYTHING

good for getting her checked out. i also live in illinois and had to get checked by myself at 12 and 14. i was extremely scared so definatly have her ask to have you there for support. it makes it so much easier! you both are in my thoughts. im 20 and was diagnosed at 17. if you want her to ever talk to me just message me and ill give you my number.

I will be praying for her. I wouldn't wish endo on anyone. Hopefully it is just a fluke and she'll be all better next month.
I'm not sure if the onset for endo would be that sudden... but I'm not an expert. I had cramps all my life that just got progressively worse. Since they just came out of nowhere, maybe it's not endo related... I'll be praying that it's not.

Thanks @wildorchid. im praying that it is a fluke and just her body changing normally. i dont want to think the worse case scenerio but being that i have endo it is hard not to think about that regarding pelvic symptoms. thanks everyone for the prayers and suggestions. she hasnt cramped today. ill keep you all updated if this happens again. K didn't cramp yesterday but woke up cramping bad this morning and is missing school. I can't believe this. Since the motrin doens't work she is going to take 1/2 tordal to see if that helps and try heating pad. I told her this is only day she missing until they get out for xmas break so she will have to fight thru it.

The 1/2 tordal didn't stop the pain enough so i gave her a whole one and it stopped then pain and she has been fine since 5pm yesterday.
