Does anyone else get treated differently since getting Endo? I am in the Army and work with 95% males, & I cannot do any form of Physical Training. I swear since the day I had that 1st lap I get treated like I am a POS, even though my work preformance is excatly the same, if not better since then. How so you tell a bunch of dudes (that are yer higher-ups) to stop treating you differently and that just because you are actually in constant pain your work preformance is NO different than before, but without getting angry and yelling at them? I have told them what Endo is, how it works, etc etc, but still...I am just fucking sick of it! Oh, and God FORBID I have a flare up at my desk, because they think I am sleeping. So now I look like a shit bag. Sorry for the language, I guess I am just sick of this crappy treatment and wish people paid attention to my work, not the fact that I am 'sick'.

I should also add that if you are on a profile (piece of paper saying what you can and cannot do for Physical Training, which is an everyday thing), it could be for a bullshit made-up injury to get out of PT, like a sprained ankle or freakin' cancer, it does not matter to the Army. You are looked at like a lazy soldier either way.

I'm sorry to hear this is so hard for you. I've had trouble at work in the past for missing days. I get treated as an undependable person, but I get told to go home if I "appear" sick. It's a double standard. Right now I am working as a part time nanny and have told them I need something very flexible. It's tough, but I hope you can get through it!

I told my previous employer I was in constant back pain, and a week or so later was canned! Work situations suck.
Current employer is better, but I refuse to tell them what I have - just the things I cannot do. Some think I have cancer, others think...?
Hang in there, over time either it will get better, or you will get a new assignment and can try to get things on your terms better.

The cool thing is that it is the law that they cannot discriminate against us. The bad thing is that ailments often cause employers to look for little technical reasons to can us. I'm glad you are able to keep your performance up. That is first and foremost, the rest will eventually fall in place.

Thanks guys!!! I figured (unfourtinatly) I was not the only one with these issues. Good news is, I talked to a higher up the other day about trying to get promoted without a PT test & he said it was possible!! HARD, but possible. Hopefully the work I do will make up for the lack of working out!!!
