Have you ruled out a UTI? I know that sounds silly, but I had a really bad one after a lap that I let go on for weeks because I thought it was just part of the recovery because I had a catheter.

I have been experiencing the same thing lately. I'm curous as well why that is.

I had pain/discomfort for about a week after my first laparscopy,then after my second it was so bad that I had to go back and be cathed for a bit, soi do not know if pain is normal, but I had it too.
Also for others witht the pain, not after a lap., could be endometriosis on bladder, I had that and was very painful until it was removed, unfortunately I think it has grown back

MY DAUGHTER HAS ENDO WITH IC. HER DR SAID IT IS VERY COMMON WHEN WOMEN HAVE 1 PROBLEM THEY HAVE THE OTHER. A UTI IS VERY PAINFUL ALSO. IT HURTS/BURNS 2 PEE. USUALLY U ONLY GO A DROP OR 2, BUT ALWAYS FEEL LIKE U NEED 2 PEE. THERE IS A OTC MED 2 TAKE 4 IT. BUT U SHOULD ALSO GET A ANTI-BIOTIC 4 IT. THE OTC MED U MAKE YOUR PEE/PANTIES EITHER YELLOW OR ORANGE. I AM NOT SURE HOW 2 SPEEL IT BUT 1 IS PERIDIUM. THINK THAT IS HOW LU SPELL IT. OR ASK DR OR SOMEONE AT PHARMACY. I HOPE U FEEL BETTER.

I dont think its a UTI im prone to those and Kidney infections so I know how it feels when you get it..
it's a different kind od hurt.. like something is being pushed in my bladder area...sort of stabbing pain??

I've heard women with endo have IC but im unsure as to what IC is?

Also, its been over a month now since I've had my lap/surgery so I dont know if it could have anything to do with that...

I had m 2nd lap two weeks ago today and I have the same pain when I pee. It's an intense amount of pressure down there like something is pushing as hard as it can on my bladder and the pains I feel are just awful. I have to sit hunched over holding my belly while on the toilet. My post op is Friday so I'm going to ask my Dr why I'm feeling this pain. I hope you feel better and the pain goes away very soon. IC interstitial cystitis - is a long-term chronic inflammation of the bladder wall. Have you always had this pain. I've been told I probably have it but haven't yet been diagnosed but it's very common to have IC with endo. Good luck with everything.

I've always had pain there in general...but i've noticed this pain since the operation...Ill ask my gyno on wednesday about it and let you ladies know =) Hope you all get some relief!

Did you have endometriosis removed on or close by your bladder during your lap? That could be a cause, from what I have heard it can stay painful for quite some time

No he didnt mention anything like that... Just said he found it on my uterus and one overy.

I think im going to make an appointment with my professor next week after seeing my gyno and get him to look at my internal pictures. Tell me what he thinks. And get the blood test results of my tracking cycle.

You definately should get to your dr asap. I've heard of scar tissue that can build up in the belly button area after having a Lap that can actually cause a hernia. Not saying this applys to you, but it's still a good idea to get this checked out. Did you have any infections after surgery? That could be an issue too. Are you running a lowgrade fever? Hope your dr can help you find some answers. Keep us posted. Hope you feel better!

Bladder Infection

My Interstital Cystitis was not diagnosed until after a lap either. Cystitis means inflammation. If you just had surgery then that could explain why you are having problems. It is very common for women with Endometriosis to develop IC due to the chronic inflammation. Bladder problems are often misdiagnosed by unskilled doctors as being related to the Endo and not properly diagnosed; therefore, not treated. The doctor who treated me referred to IC as "Endo's Evil Twin."

You may want to get tested to make sure you do not have IC, it is associated with endo, I was like that constant pain, constantly getting checked for UTI's it was not until I finally found the doctor I am with now that he tested me for it....and well, I have it, bad.....hope you get relief soon and the answers you need.

I've been getting sharp stabbing pains ALL day today. I'm so glad I go to the doctor wednesday. My mum told me to go to the hospital if it keeps up or gets worse. And or seek a doctors help..it's the weekend so the hospital might be the best bet if it doesnt ease soon - I've got a water bottle on my stomach area now...*sigh* Im so confused. I hate going to the doctors too much hence you havn't seen me run there.. Ill put up with ALOT of pain before I get to a doctor.

The last hospital trip I made was after my boyfriend got off the phone to my mum and I had a kidney infection.. I left it so late, put up with so much pain not even morphene would help it.

It's stupid I know I know...But Im bad at being -sick-
