Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

I take the lowest dose vicodin (2 pills 3 times a day), and it helps about 70% of the pain, and i can tolerate the other 30%. I wont take anything stronger because i have to take it on average 9 days a month for every period. So, i take the weakest thing i can so i dont have to suffer, but also try to be very aware of safety.
good luck at the Dr!
What I usually do is I take only aspirin 3 days before my period to keep the inflammation down. Then when I get my period I stop the aspirin entirely and switch to the oxycodone. So far this has worked out well for me, and I've noticed less abdomonial swelling on my period.
Yankee's right. Everyone responds differently to medications. You might have to try different things until you figure out what works best for you.
Also I have to remember to sort of stay on schedule ie eat at the same time every day, wake up and fall asleep the same time each night etc. Hot baths help and if you can afford it massage therapy. I also take time each day to meditate, journal or get in touch with my spiritual side. Those are some of the things that help me have better days pain wise.
You pretty much have to try things and see what works/doesn't for you.
