Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I agree with you. I had my surgery several weeks ago and so far after two cycles I haven't had any pain. The surgery has been a success! And, I'm so happy now it has been the best decision for me. But, I also wonder about the same thing....what would it be like without pain? Would I at least get a warning that my period is coming? God-forbid if I have an accident! LOL!
Then, what I will never have pain anymore. Oh, I don't wish it back. But for about 20 years I had this and I can't imagine my life without it. Sort of like, what would it be like to be cured of epilepsy. It wouldn't make me me anymore. I dunno.
As for the bowel I don't think that could be treated the same. I had a lot of endo on my bowel and they were able to remove it during my surgery and so far those symptoms have not come back for me. Did they remove most of it for you? I'm so happy to hear your surgery was a success I hope it continues to stay pain free for you!!!!
