So much BAD shit has happened to my body in the past week...I hope some of you can help me make sense of it!! I will start with Thursday the 9th. Went to see my German Gyno & he found a tennis ball sized cyst on my right ovary. Mind you I just had a cyst burst back in January, so this was a shock. So, he scheduled surgery for Sept 5th to remove the cyst, remove endo spots & take out my appendix because he said it will likely rupture soon. So, I will continue with Friday the 10th. My husband and our friend took a 4 day trip to Prague. It was supposed to be a fun exciting weekend. BUT, on Friday I started my period (which we all know is painful!!). I should mention that I no longer have periods, but I got a shot of Lupron on July 26th..and I had a bad period the Sunday before this trip. So, this period went through our trip, getting way worse as the weekend went on. I was in a lot of pain, & I had to stop walking at some points on tours and whatnot because it hurt so bad. Well on Monday when we make the 6 hour drive home, I was in EXTREME pain...it felt lke a miscarriage!! So when we got home I went to the ER. The Gyno said nothing was wrong, it is probably a bad Endo flare up. When I saw my regular doc he said go back to the ER, I might have appendicitis. Well, I did, & I had surgery on Wednesday to remove my appendix. BTW, Germans don't really use narcotics, so I woke up FREAKING the hell out because I had nothing to help the pain!!! I stayed in the hospital until Friday, and I finally got some Vicodin. Now, I am just in SO MUCH FUCKING PAIN & I can hardly walk!! On top of that, I am now on ANOTHER period! I am just super confused & I can't tell which pain is from the appendix surgery & what is from the Endo!!! I don't understand why I am having all of these terrible periods. If you have any advice please help me figure this out, cuz it all is VERY scary!! Thank you guys!!!

Gosh I'm sorry your feeling so bad! Sometimes the pain post op gets worse after a few days. Not to preach since I'm sure you've heard before but Vicodin sloooows the digestive system way down. I wonder if the constipation isn't making your pelvic area more complicated. I really hope you get better soon

ugh, I'm here cheering you on. First of all - congrats. It sounds like you have lived through a week of complete HELL and seem so coherent. I would not be able to even type correctly. (smiles)

Second, tell those Germans "ich habe schmertz, wo ist das Vicodin?!?!?" that's crazy.

Third, I wish I had some fabulous advice, but I only have comforting words. As for the pains, I know when I had a grapefruit sized cyst, my doc said the pain was likely from it oozing liquid into my abdomin. It was not the case, it turned out I had something else going on too...but it does happen and cause pain. So will they still be doing surgery in September too?

Did you ask your dr about the fact that you are getting your period while on Lupron because that should happen.

Thanks guys!!! Unfortunitally there is no change in the pain..although I did see a doc today who gave me a shot which is really helping!!! Germans don't use narcotics, so thankfully my Army doc gets that and gave me things that work haha. Also they gave me something for the constipation. As for the Lupron, I expected peroids, but not this many!!! I am still not sure hhow Lupron is supposed to help if all it does is cause peroids, since periods create pain haha. Thank you for the advice!! Now I am going to nap a lot today to forget about all of this haha.

Lupron puts you into menopause so you should not be getting periods. I think it's possible to get one within the first month (I did the three month shot so I don't know if there's a difference when you do the monthly). In the first few weeks of the shot things get worse...endo symptom wise....but then they should start to go away.

My goodness, do not get anymore Lupron shots. That shit isn't right. I finally had an 'excision' surgery about a year ago after many years of struggle. It sounds terrible, and feels that way too..but it's legit. All of the endometriosis was completely removed...and my appendix, as it was covered in it..so it will, in theory, not continue to grow. I'm as skeptic as the next woman after so much bullshit, but I've felt better than I have in 14 years..I'm 25.

At least take some calicum with the Lupron shots. There's an 'add-back' hormone replacement therapy to help with the side effects of the shot, but I didn't use it.

No lie, meditation and tylenol have been the most helpful with the pain. Keep your head up!

Thanks again guys!! I have an update: I stopped taking the Lupron shots. I am giving my body a break from any treatments for Endo other than the Mirena I am already on becuase of the Appendicitis I just had...it was hard to track my symptoms with all that shit going on. I feel like I have had a few less flare ups, but now that I am back to normal I will start tracking everything again. I just had the wisdom teeth taken out a few days ago, so once I am off meds for that hopefully I can get back to figuring out some more Endo stuff!! Also, I discovered that the day my Appendicitis popped up & I posted about the awful pain that the tennis ball sized cyst on my right ovary had also busted. Plus, I think I may have also had a miscarriage at the same time!!! Just because I have had one before, & the pain & way I was bleeding..yeah. Its ok, I am on birth control so I dont have babies. Yet. Anyway, thanks for all of your support!! Sorry I havent replied in a while.

the pain you described (not being able to walk), reminds me of 5 months before I was diagnosed. I was walking around NYC with my sister's family and she already thought I was a wuse for pain, and all of a sudden - BAM! I was in so much pain I thought my appendix was bursting. I was convinced of it. Called the hubby and everything and he reassured me.

So, about the miscarriage - turned out I had one a couple months later and that stunk. So I'm sorry that you went through that twice. :-(
How are you doing? Are you relieved or upset about the miscarriage?

Holy cow Jessye, when it rains, it pours huh...endo, appendicitis, a miscarrige AND having your wisdom teeth removed? You're a freakin trooper!!
