Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Since Celiac is an autoimmune disease and women with endo (a possible autoimmune disease) have been shown to have a higher incidence of autoimmune diseases, this makes sense.
I'd be curious about links between autoimmune hypothyroidism and endo since hypothyroidism can cause menstrual problems.
I tested negative for celiacs (with a blood test) - but still find a great deal of relief in this diet. I also feel like I have more energy than I did before. I really wish I had tried this diet earlier - but I thought it would be too hard. It has been easier than I thought. Also - the results make it easier for me to continue with it.
