Hi all,

I just joined the site today.

I had a laprascopic about 4 yrs ago and diagnosed with endo, and a laparatomy dec '11 with 3 tumors removed. Currently on Ocella bcp.
Over a yr later, still number in the pelvis and muscles cramp anytime i sneeze or cough hard. OBGYN says there is nothing she can do. Any ideas?

I have still been in pain and try to skip placebo pills on bcp but i always get breakthrough bleeding when i try that. Any other alternative bcp pills that ladies have had success with?

My dr says she does not want to do a hysterectomy as i'm 34 with no kids yet and trying to keep that option open. At this point the pain is constant and i dont know if it is worth waiting.

Is seeing an OBGYN sufficient or are there any specialists in endo I should try and see?

It is comforting to read and share with ladies that are dealing with the same issues...sometimes i feel like friends or family just don't understand how miserable it can be.

I'm sorry that you're still in a lot of pain, but I just wanted to say Welcome to the group! These women here are so so amazing. I joined in October and they have all been such blessings!! Hope you find some sort of relief soon!

Hi, if you don't want a period every month you can try seasonique or seasonale ... it"s the pills which allows you to have a period every 3 months. Seeing an ob/gyn who has experience treating women with endo is good. A hysterectomy is not a cure for endo so only do that if your uterus is damaged. The cramping you feel when sneezing and or coughing sounds like it's from scar tissue. What are your syptoms? look into pelvic floor therapy. Alot of us with endo have pelvic floor muscles that are really tight and causes pain. feel better hun

I recommend seeing a specialist. I found out more when I went to see a specialist. They still do not know enough but OBGYN's don't seem to grasp what to do and they appear to just say "I can't do anything" instead of trying to find good help for you. Do some internet research and find out who does Lap surgeries in your area or cold call Gyn's in your area to see if there is a specialist on Endo. Whyme123 has good suggestions on pelvic floor muscle exercises. I might have to get into that myself.

Welcome!! I can understand your pain.... Being 32 yrs old and childless myself. The first thing many doctors scream is have a child then when that isn't working quick enough, they're screaming hysterectomy! It's just so extreme.... I can say seasonique worked wonderfully for me. I agree... This group has been heaven sent, because my family and friends truly don't understand. Though my family and friends try, it's just hard for them to understand. We typically look healthy on the outside so its easy for people to forget. Good luck and welcome!

Hey there. I would highly recommend seeing an excision specialist. I have endo for 9 years and have tried 3 different surgeries and every pill, birth control, and inserts out there. The only thing i have ever gotten any relief from is an excision. It would so be worth it. I hope you feel better soon! :)

Thanks ladies, for the support and suggestions. I will look into trying seasonique to lessen periods.

The symptoms i get when coughing or sneezing or bending over more than a few seconds is a muscle cramping pain in my pelvis, like a twisting.

I will research a good specialist in the SF Bay area :-)
