Hi I just stumbled on this site yesterday, its so amazing. I got diagnosed with endo a few months ago. I have always had bad periods and over the past year its all been getting worse and worse. I even went to the hospital last summer for extreme pain in my ovaries and no one could tell me why. Now I sit here and go helllooo i have endometriosis. I had my first lap done where the doctor diagnosed me with endo. I am currently in the process of booking another appointment with my doctor so I can have another lap to get it layered off. I am on BC (not that its ever helped me), taking tylenols/advil/whatever is like popping candy it never works. I have a bottle of oxy that I've been taking when the pain gets real bad (pills were from surgery), its gonna be awful when I run out of them. I'm about to book another appointment to hopefully get a prescription for pain pills because this pain is so incredible. The first doctor I saw told me that "since you're 20 years old you shouldn't even have pain like this...You'll just turn into a pill popping drug addict". Real sweet, eh? Yesterday my husband and I tried to have sex in the morning and it turned into me being in pain. The rest of the day I was in such excruciating pain he asked me if I needed to go to the hospital. I HATE worrying him constantly, being pathetic, and not being the bubbly person I normally am. I just want this pain to stop and I know it won't. I'm sorry if I vented, I just have no one to relate to. Please feel free to talk to me or anything, I just really need some support ladies. I just want to break down and cry sometimes.
I'm so glad you posted. Many of us are new, and others have been on the board a while. I hope you keep coming back for the support you totally need. I need it too, we're all here to vent and deal with this sucky thing called endo.
Ugh, pain from sex is the worst, isn't it? Sounds like you have the lion's share of it, mine is not that bad, I feel for you.
Yeah, the bad periods, the pain during sex, the other symptoms...it's nice to be diagnosed, but totally hard to handle at the same time.
Hang in there, we'll all learn to deal with this together. Welcome aboard to the board.
It also seems to come in waves for me and so that sucks too. Why am I ok for months and then bam! Endo is back in full force?
Why do the symptoms constantly change?
Erinsf recommended reading trashy magazines...and it has helped me feel better. Talk about crappy lives, some of the stars are much more messed up than us.
Now only if I could have some of their millions....
