New Birth Control

Hi guys haven been on in a very long time. I have recently taken a trip to mexico for two weeks and have been trying to focus on keeping myself busy. Before I had left to Mexico my doctor put me on a different birth control called loloestrine. Has anyone else tried this birth control? I know it's fairly new but I just need some feed back. My pain has not decreased at all since my surgery, but has gotten a little worse. I was also wondering if it is common to get UTI'S if your endo has spread to your bladder? I got one down in Mexico and it was horrible.

Some other questions I have had are if anyone has heard of any cases of endo spreading to the brain or lungs? This is what has been making me stress and I just want some peace.

Some good news is that i am starting my senior year :) so I get to look forward to prom and graduation! I have been looking forward to anything but the possibility of another surgery

Hi! I am also on loestrin. Other pills have made me sick, but I seem to do pretty well on this one. My periods are amazingly short and light, but still painful. It's hard to say as to how well it controls my endo symptoms. They are definitely still there, but I'm sure it could be worse. I have bladder endo, too. I know it is normal to have uti symptoms, but I don't know about actual utis.

I know that it is possible for endo to spread to the brain and lungs. This freaked me out so much at first, too. But it is extremely rare. Try not to think about it because I believe the chances of that happening are pretty slim.

Hey there! I just started loestrin as well. Prior to this I was on the Nuvaring, which started off great. However, over time I noticed that I was become depressed and apathetic and I have zero sex drive. It's too early for me to say whether loestrin is the right choice, but I can say that I definitely feel better than when I was on the ring.
