Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Good luck :)
I'm into alternative and natural therapies, but they're really trial and error to see how you react. I've taken Neprinol for scar tissue since 2008, and right now I'm starting to ease my way into herbal treatments. I started last Thurs. and I'm giving it 3 cycles to see if I notice any positive changes.
I also started juicing recently and I absolutely love it! I don't know if any in particular have helped more, but I always feel best after beet juice (1 beet, 1 apple, 3-4 carrots).
I think that with this disease anything you can do naturally is great, even if it's just a placebo effect. We require so many surgeries and harsh medications that on the days where I get by with some fresh juice and a heating pad, I'm thrilled :)
I do believe that the endo diet helped me get pregnant, (although I lost my baby) for my next cycle I plan to be on it again.
At the moment I'm not doing any IVF cycles and am trying to find a new job so we'll see how strong the endo diet is in combatting the endo pains.
Anyways the things I removed from my diet were:
- Red meat
- Soy foods
- Gluten
- White Carbs
- Sugars (Except for honey)
- Dairy
- Processed food
Australia has really good control over their poultry, fish, corn and honey. Everything here is regulated and hormone free and mostly organic so I ate a lot of chicken and fish for protein and veggies.
What I did was get off everything for 2 weeks and then slowly introduce foods back in to see which foods were a trigger for me. I found out, sugar and gluten are bad triggers.
Sorry this is a long post. I just wanted to end with saying that I lost so much weight and got really healthy. It helped me get fit and strong so it was worth it regardless if the diet didn't help with my endo because I believe being fit and healthy helps with endo.
Good luck
I was recently directed to this webiste...

Has anyone read or tried anything on that website?
What I gave up that made a difference
-alcohol
-caffeine
-sugar
-dairy
-soy
-gluten
-parabens and enocrine disrupting chemicals in my cosmetics and house hold cleaners
The most drastic change I saw was in giving up alcohol. I have seen very positive results from giving up sugar and dairy as well. My immune system has strengthened, my headaches have drastically decreased, less pain with sex, less anxiety and more energy. I also have much less abdominal pain, bloating and diarrhea.
Supplements that have helped
-Acidophilus
-Gaia Liver support
-Rasperry leaf tea
-Vit D
-Magnesium
- Omega 3 fatty acids
Yoga and reflexology have helped me immensely. I have suffered from tight hips and hip pain as a result of ENDO on my uterosacral ligaments. Yoga helps to balance my body and mind. It's wonderful for stress reduction and to balance hormones. If you don't know about YogaGlo.com I highly suggest that you check it out! Reflexology is mind blowing!! So relaxing!!
Avoiding chemicals in costmetics can be very hard but I use Primal PIt paste deodorant and Organic coconut oil daily as moisturizer.
I hope some of this helps I have truly seen improvements in all of the alternative therapies that I use daily. You have to make it a lifestyle and stick with it to see real changes. Good luck!!
Just give it a try and see how your body responds. As long as it's not making your symptoms worse I don't see the problem. You might find a diet that works for you, and that'd be awesome.
I'll probably write in my journal about how the herbs turn out. Gah! I'm drinking them in tea form and, man, some of them have a bit of stink to them lol I've got three months to look forward to of this, but hopefully it helps.
Keep us posted on how the diet works out, and good luck!
