Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
So I've done the Lupron and that worked really well for the endo, but between my Oncologist, Ob-gyn and PCP they won't let me do another round as they all say that your only supposed to have one round for your whole life and since I"ve already had mine that is that.
About a month after the lupron I had some minor pain come back and they put me on a low dose progestin pill which has worked really well and kept everything at bay. I've bee on it for a little over a year now and in the past few months my pain has come back and earlier this week while still taking my pill regularly and faithfully same time everyday I'm having a really bad heavy period and I feel like crap. I'm also really nervous about everything and not sure what I can do next. I'm wondering if my endo has just gotten used to the pill and its not as effective? I also wonder what it is that is happening as endo is very estrogen driven correct?
I've done everything in my power to keep it at bay apart from taking my pill. I"ve rearranged my diet, my exercise routine, detoxed my beauty care and all my household cleaners etc are all natural and environmentally friendly. I've also limited my use of any plastics esp those that contain BPA and have also tried many alternative therapies such as Massage, Reiki, Reflexology etc. So I don't know where the excess estrogen is coming from?
My fear comes from my stupid breast cancer and everyone is soo iffy on weather or not I should be on any type of hormone pills as they could aggravate my previous breast cancer or create a new breast cancer to form. So I don't know where to go next. They don't have a higher does of the pill that I was on so that is out. My next option is the depo shot but I'm not sure if all of my docs will agree with it or not.
So If they don't agree, I don't know what to do next. I have been on depo before but years ago maybe back in 2000-2002 ish before I had bc, I remember it made me really depressed and I had to switch back to the pill, but maybe it'll have a different effect this time around? My mom is also very bunny happy tree hugger and refuses to let anyone around her take anything that isn't natural to your own body and she gave me the worst grief when I went on lupron as it wasn't natural and got very little support from her and since the depo is related to the lupron I don't even know if I'll tell her about it at all. So I also dont know what I'll do for support about this.
They just need to find a cure for this like as of yesterday!!!!

It's also very possible your pain is not from endo but from adhesions....or scar tissue.
I'm sorry that you have to deal with this on top of cancer stuff. :( I hope you are able to figure something out.
