Hi ladies! I haven't been on in a while so I will briefly describe my story. I was recently diagnosed with endo in November through lap surgery. I had very small growths but tremendous pelvic pain that never went away. To top it all off, I haven't had a period in almost 8 years because of the bortho controls I've been on. Unfortunately, there was one spot my gyno was unable to remove near my left ureter. I was doing ok after surgery with only 10-14 days of pain. I was put on a progestin pill on top of my bc (implanon) to help ease the pain. It got bad again after a couple months. My gyno is at a loss so she referred me to an endo specialist. I can't get in until June so in the meantime she suggested I get the lupron shot. I got my first injection 3 weeks ago and it has made my pain worse and the side effects don't help. I get chest pain, muscle and joint pain, dizziness, nausea, and it has made my anxiety worse. I've talked to my gyno a couple of times because I literally cannot deal with all of this anymore. She promises me the pain will go away by my second shot and said if it doesn't then I have another issue going on. She's sympathetic but hesitates to give me pain killers when I need it. I had to go to urgent care last week just to get a small script of vicoden to take the edge off. My body just can't take the pain any more. I see the endo specialist in a couple weeks, but it can't come soon enough. I just feel so lost and my obgyn is always telling me she doesn't understand how the endo came on so suddenly. I feel like she's not very educated on the disease or her other patients with it haven't had the problems that I do.
Has anyone had the lupron shot, and what was your outcome?
