i finally started my lupron treatment and i feel like im feeling worse then before. im still bleeding im tired all the time if im not sweating to death im freezing and dont even get me started on the cramps. i havent been on it long but idk i just feel awful. doesnt help that ive been working non stop this week which i like but the stress of oving the entire store and the people who came in to help doesnt help anything.
After stalling for years because I was scared like you, I finally decided to try Lupron last October. My last shot was this past April. I have endometriosis but I also have a good size uterine fibroid tumor. Besides the cramping, I suffer from heavy bleeding that keeps me from functioning. I can't leave the house when this happens. It happend one time when I was at work and that was the last straw for me. The first couple months of taking Lupron, I still had some bleeding, after my 3rd shot, I had no bleeding. I did have cramps throughout but it was nothing like before. I hope you doctor is having you go on add-back along with the Lupron shot. This is a pill that helps to add back a small amount of progestin back into your body. This helps with some of the side affects of Lupron. Depending on if you have another condition, It's not for everyone. It definitely helped me. I actually thought the affects were going to be worse and asked myself why didn't I do this sooner. The catch, it was a very expensive 6 month bandaid for me. $500 a shot out of pocket. As soon as I finished the cycle, I went on Seasonale and it's just as bad as before Lupron, if not worse :( Now that may because I have that fibroid tumor and I'm sure this last a lot longer for others. This was just my expreience. The other thing, ever since Lupron, I sweat a lot! It's very uncomfortable at times. I wish you all the best and pray that you have a good experience with Lupron and your condition subsides.
