What time of the month is it for you? Do you track your cycle and your pains?

I have had sharp pains at my ovary caused by an ovarian cyst which was endo related...

"sharp pain in my lower stomach usually to the left" sounds a lot like my usual endo pain. i can't remember coughing making it worse but muscle spasm or activity can, so coughing doing that would make sense. hope you feel better!

I am on the depo shot so i dont have a time of the month. When I did it was towards the end of the month. I just have noticed increasing pain lately. I have a dr appt today to get my depo shot so I am just going to ask about it. Ive just never had that happened before. :(

How long have you been on Depo? I was on the 3-month shots for about a year and a half and the longer I took it, the less and less effective they were...meaning after 2 months..and then a month, I felt like I needed another shot.

I have been on depo for 6 years. It has worked very well for me. I still have pain but I can tolerate that. Dr says I have a cyst that is what is causing the current pain on the left side

I have this too - I always figured it was my cyst but I had it drained and still get it so who knows? I do think it is endo related as it is worse when I ovulate. Just started up extended cycle BC, maybe it'll help!

I have been having pain in my lower stomach off and on for a year. I thought it was related to the endo. At times it is excruciating. And worse after I go to the bathroom. Does yours worsen at any other time? Recently I started taking probiotics and the pain got better right away. My doctor said endo can go into your bowels intestines etc. I know the probiotics help with good bacteria the pain is mostly non existent. It hurts from time to time but no where near the intensity as before.

Mine is worse when I'm lifting or using the restroom as well I think I'm going to try the probiotics. Thanks

Ah ha! The depot was probably running low, caused ovulation, which caused the cyst. How big is the cyst? Will you need surgery?

Hopefully it is small enough it will go away on its own.

Ovulation for me sometimes feels like appendicitis - just like you described. I needed surgery only for one of my four cysts this year. It's so weird that you got it while on depot though, I would have thought that would have stopped it from forming...hmmmm.

It is in between they said it is up to me. I am going to wait it out for it to go away on its own because with work and school I do not have time for surgery! It isn't the first one I have had so I will manage
