Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

So yesterday afternoon/night the nurse thought it best I go in since passing a white clot and since my clotting has increased ALOT. I am having a full blood examination and iron levels tested, he did an internal (on my period, emabaressing to say the least) and said while he can't see anything but blood he wants to send me for an ultrasound due to my increase in clotting... everything else he asked and said yes to I described as normal for me to have, besides this increase in severe clotting and passing of a white clot (I only noticed the one).
I read to me what my gyno neglected to read to me which explained where my endo has spread to! Also, it mentioned that this new gyno excisied my endo NOT lasered it, which is odd as I thought exicision was alot more invasive then an extra hole...but I guess I'll take his word for it. It also stated I have a bulky caecum, which as far as information I have found states;
The location of GI endometriosis follows well-defined patterns. The lower rectosigmoid colon is most commonly involved, followed by the last part of the ileum (the small intestine), the cecum (the first part of the large bowel), and the appendix (which hangs off of the cecum). Thirty percent of patients have more than one GI area involved. Superficial disease in any of these areas usually causes no symptoms, but bulky, deeply invasive disease can cause real problems.

But I have no real idea what a Bulky Caecum means, so any ideas would be appreciated!
So I will go either today or tomorrow for my blood tests and tomorrow for my ultrasounds.
See how this goes? I told him my mum has issues with clotting and they also think it's linked to why she kept losing babies, but they can't get the information because her gyno has retired and the professor my mother was under has passed away. So we'll see what happens I guess.

i'm so sorry by the way sweetie that you had to go in while your bleeding. not only embarrassing, but i would think even more painful too. u have my utmost sympathy... =( i'm glad that your endo was excised rather than just burned and i'm hoping that it keeps it from coming back as quickly. that stupid doctor should have told you that's what he was doing tho. i really don't know why in the world he didn't. no wonder you were in so much pain afterward as that is slightly more invasive...although mine was done laprascopically too. i had only a total of three incisions. i hope all goes well with your blood work and the ultrasound. keep me posted! It did hurt, he had to try two different things to get it to open up. I had to have painkilelrs after it, its like pap smears, HELL!
Ill let you know, I'm going to get both done tomorrow so I'll have results by about Wednesday next week I hope :)

Although I know when you posted this everyone asked if you were miscarrying...all the nurses and doctors are asking me if I could be pregnant...apparantly 7 weeks between periods, heavy bleeding, clotting and passing white clots and of course pain is a symptom of that =S But besides the excessive clotting and white clot that I noticed, well the rest is normal for me! =S
