well, surgery is over, what a horrible experience, the lysed adhesions, removed endo and put in a "screen" to prevent more adhesions. They did not control pain well, i had a dilaluad machine and it didnt work well, the nurse had my hubby push it every 10 min. for an hour, then she bumped it up, still major pain, she said next would be fentanyl, why didnt they do that in the first place? The next day i said take the cathater and pain pump out, then, they didnt get my docs orders right, they were giving me 2 percocets and I said thats what i took before i had surgery, im supposed to have 2 oxy in between the percocets! left a day early, which hubby said I shouldnt have, couldnt walk, dress, bath, just sit in lounge chair. I ended up sleeping in recliner. I NEVER want to have surgery again, i hope this helps!
It sounds like you have just gone through quite a terrible experience with this surgery. I really hope that you are resting well and have lovely people that love you taking care of you.
Obviously you are a very clued up smart person to be following what they were doing at the hospital and keeping a check on them. I think it is a real stress to have the added pressure to not trust what the medical professionals are doing, they are meant to know what they are doing after all, but it seems that it is necessary to keep an eye on what they are doing. It sucks that you have this added stress. You should only have to think about feeling peaceful and healing and getting better.

I will be going for my first laparoscopy on the 30th June. Hopefully it will be alright.
I had lysis of adhesions due to a bowel obstruction and the doctor found tons of endo there. So, ironically, a regular surgeon found the endo and not my ob/gyn.
I hope you get some releif when you heal.
