The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing well today! I'm doing well ... in second week after lap.
My daughter k has strep throat. That wouldn't be anything significant but it has been a very, very, very rough five months for her and my family. She is 16 now but when she was 8 or 9 she was diagnosed with the antibody for Lupus but not the disease. So for the next two years we were back and forth to dif docs/testing etc. So she was good for 5 years ... until this past June. She was out of town on summer vacation with her grandparents and cousins when she fell ill. I was deathly afraid that she had Lupus now but SHE DOES NOT. We still don't really know what happened but we think it was a viral infection. She legs, arms and back hurt so bad she could barely walk and couldn't make a fist and she had fluid on her knees. I had to fly her home 1000 miles alone while she could barely walk because her grandma (dads mom) took her to er but did not make sure she got relief. She was put on high does pain meds and spent 1 month in the house. By mid/end of July she started feeling alil better. So since then there have been lots of ups and downs. She now has arthritis in her left knee and both knees still have fluid on them. She is still on pain meds everyday so her back won't hurt. I had to get an extra set of books just for home so she wouldnt have to carry those heavy books around. She weighed 105 lbs before June but lost 10 pounds when she first got sick and is just now starting to gain it back. A few weeks ago she had a false positive blood test saying her thyroid wasnt functioning properly but a repeat and more indepth testing came back normal. And now she has strep throat.
it is one thing that i have to deal w endo but watching her be sick is worse than any endo pain i could ever have. I just had to get this off my chest.

i hope she's feeling better soon, and the strep doesn't affect her health too much. hope you are also able to continue recovering from your lap without too much added stress.

Thanks again ladies for letting me lean on you. I have to get this off my chest so i wont be stressed which will set my recovery back. I am still doing well. Taking her to the Take Care Clinic at Walgreens yest helped tremendously because neither one of us needed to be sitting in an ER waiting room for hours.
