Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

This was posted over on the Infertility forum and I figured I'd post it over here too since endo and infertility unfortunately can go hand in hand. A member's friend from an in-person support group started this petition on whitehouse.gov...if it reaches 100k signatures in a month, they will review it. It only has a few signatures right now.
It's asking that infertility be included as a coverable healthcare treatment for all. Many of you may already be aware that there are only a handful of states mandate coverage for infertility treatments (and sadly I do not live in one of them!). If you have a few minutes and are so inclined, check it out!:

I wanted to let you know about a new petition I created on We the People, a new feature on WhiteHouse.gov, and ask for your support. Will you add your name to mine? If this petition gets 100,000 signatures by February 21, 2013, the White House will review it and respond!

Many seeking to become parents through fertility treatments are required to pay out of pocket because their insurance does not cover any part of
infertility. It's unfortunate to see that loving couples cannot fulfill their dream of becoming parents because of the cost of these treatments. If
insurance would cover some portion, it would go a long way in helping couples achieve their dreams.
Infertility affects many women and men, to no fault of their own. It can sometimes be explained, but often couples do not know why something that
comes so natural to others cannot happen for them. There are options that can assist some couples in becoming parents: Intrauterine insemination
(IUI), In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), surrogates, egg and sperm donors, and adoption, but most couples are burdened by the costs
associated with such treatments. Infertility is not a choice; its a healthcare issue and should be treated as such.
