Well I know what you are going thru. I have been TTC for over 3years & just found out that my RE is 95% sure I have endo. He had suggested maybe having the surgery & IUI. But because we have other issues we are going to jump straight to IVF. We just can't afford to put a lot of money into something & if it doesn't work then try IVF so we thought lets try the thing that is suppose to counter act all the problems. I don't know your hole situation & I'm not an expert, but have you discussed what else you could try with your RE? IVF is very expensive, but maybe it is what you need? Not that I would want you to have to do that! I'm sorry I'm not very helpful. Maybe try the gals on "no one knows" group they are much more wise then me.

I know what you are going through and nothing I say can make it eaiser.
I have endo and we've been trying for three years. We've never tried IUI or IVF because until recently we didn't know what was wrong with me. Now, after I've been diagnosed, I have to do six months of Lupron before we can even try. After that we are going to go straight to IVF, just because with this disease I don't have a lot of time to waste.
I am not trying to scare you, but I am sure you have had some of these thoughts yourself.
If your doctor isn't sure that endo is causing your infertility then I am curious to know what else he/she is doing to find your problem?
Has your husband had his little swimmers tested? I assume you know you ovulated since you just did IUI...
It can't be your cervical mucus since that shouldn't be a factor with IUI.
When was your last lap? Unless it was very recent I would suggest having one again so your doctor can see EXACTLY how bad your endo is and how it is affecting your uterus.
But most importantly I want you to stay hopeful. I fell into severe depression when I realized how the endo had made me infertil, but somehow I've gotten to a place where I have some hope again. Your endo sounds less severe than mine, for example, and you don't say anything about scarring of your tubes or uterus, so maybe you can just keep trying?
Please let us know more about your problems and I'd be happy to talk to you about it all. I know it is hard, especially because of the emotional issues whenever something like IUI fails.

After two yrs and endo I'd suggest a second opinion. They don't know why endo effects fertility they just know it does and that there is the possibility to concieve naturally or with moderate help for thos e with mild/mod cases, but it's not a guarntee that you will, how can your RE say in the same breathe it's not bad enough to case problems - you don't see an RE unless there's problems. What I meant was my RE thinks the way I ovulate is my biggest obstacle. He knows endo does play a part.... but since I did not have any scarring etc. he thinks it's possible for me to conceive. He is my second RE and I love him... I am just starting to feel hopeless because I failed my 1st cycle of injectables and I thought that would be our answer. Thanks for your thoughts...

I know that we've been trying for 8 yrs to conceive a baby,I knew I had endo as a teenager and did birth control pills so the endo I thought was under control,but when we decide to ttc we ran into major issues,like I wouldn't ovulate and if i did I would bleed for up to 12 days,but now we've been to a great dr and had laser done in oct 07 so now we are trying Clomid again,b/c I still have problems ovulating,but best of luck to you.

I have also been trying for two years with no sucess. I am currently waiting for IVF. This was the only hope as one of my fallopian tubes is twisted and attached to my bowel and I have extensive scarring and adhesions which coul dnot all be removed through surgery. This is a good chance for me as it bypasses the tubes etc. All I need to wait for now is the reults of my HSG to see if my uterus is OK. (fingers crossed!)
