Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
I think the main reason this pill works so well for me is for a lot of very personal reasons so may not be the best option for everybody. I was put on the pill when I was only 13 because I was having recurrent terrible ovarian cysts and I also had awful acne. after trying a few different pills, we found that ocella works with my body the best.
I was recently on Mirena and had bad experiences so I had it removed and went back to the good old ocella. The one thing I do have to say is that it doesn't seem to help much with the endo, but overall it is the only one that personally really works for me.
I used to be on the higher dose BC, but it gave me bad GI issues. I've actually tried at least 6 different kinds. This one has worked best of them all, but I'm afraid they'll eventually cause me issues and I'll need to change. My gyno tells me that being on BC is not really the best option as it feeds the endo, but it also does provide some benefit. It's a win-lose situation I guess.
I tried Seasonique in the past. Basically, it's three months of active pills, then you get a period. It worked great for the first three packs (9 months), then I bled non-stop for about 6 weeks, so I stopped that one.
It can be frustrating to find a BC that works well for you. Hormones are a tricky business!
