Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
Ok, hold up. I know I am new to this all, but did you know there is another condition which is present 80 to 90% of the time with endo?!?!?!

I probably have it, I am so prone to UTI's that just won't go away.

I have IC. And endo and Intercistial Cystitis are called the "evil twin sisters"...
To me it feels like a UTI, and a thick needle up my vagina TMI-and i have to pee a lot during flares, but only a little comes out, and it burns, and it causes pelvic pain. So when I kept going to the Dr. thinking i had some sort of UTI or vaginal infection, it was always negative. So you have to see a urologist. They're are a few methods of finding out. It is chronic and painful.
The "good news" is, just because you get a lot of UTI's doesnt mean its IC-did the Dr test you for UTI's during these times and it came up positive? It feels like one, but when you take a pee test, its not an infection of any kind. I also get tons of UTI's like you, but a lot of times, the pee test is negative and same symptoms.
I really hope you dont have it as well! you should find a gynocoligical urologist, and they can do the test. In the mean time, when you get pain "down there", down tons, and tons of water, and mix some pure cranberry juice in. And hold your pee in for a long time until you absolutely have to go. That helps that.

I was on BC for 7 yrs straight and that improved things, but I still had problems. Just recently I was tested for a UTI from a top doc at Johns Hopkins, and she was supposed to be an expert on endo...but she never mentioned that because the test came back negative, maybe I had IC. Grrrrr....
So much to learn still...
