Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

I was diagnosed when I was 22 and every day since then I was terrified and still am. It's not wrong to want that and it's not wrong to worry about it. You're boyfriend needs to be more understanding, to comfort you and be that support. Yes, sometimes I know that looking into it can cause some anxiety. I know that from experience! I was just at the doctors for a post-op appointment asking about the fertility!
You're not alone! I'm actually trying to seek a therapist to deal with this and everything connecting to endo. If you need someone to talk to, I'm here!
I would talk over your options with a doctor maybe you can freeze an egg for the future and do IVF or something. There are so many options and you are very young. You have no idea what's going to be able ten years from now. But this is YOUR disease and I really think you should be educated about it. I do not personally want to ever get pregnant, so I can't really relate to that, but to finding out what's wrong with me, yes, I can relate. I wont go into other options, but I feel like you have options, and to stress about it is going to make you worse off.
I was also in the same situation at the time with the boyfriend thing. Eventually he came around and was really caring even before being diagnosed. Unfortunately some guys aren't mature enough at our age, even when you think they are, to fully understand what's going on. Shortly after my surgery he broke up with me so I don't think he was ready. (This has turned out to be a total blessing!!) I'm of course not trying to scare you but that's just what happened to me. Good luck and please keep us updated!
My older sister also has Endo but waited until much later to get diagnosed and treated. Her Endo was more advanced than mine and she did do the medical menopause with Lupton. She is due any day with her first.
Yes, you do need to be concerned about your health and future fertility but don't jump the gun. Having Endo is not a death sentence to fertility.
